ABOUT US
Eats History is a culinary history project created and hosted by Donnie Dodson. Each episode follows a simple but compelling format: Donnie researches a dish from human history, recreates it as faithfully as possible using period-accurate ingredients and techniques, and rates it out of 10 — all while telling the story of the dish, the culture, and the people who made it.
From ancient Roman banquets to medieval peasant meals to forgotten regional staples from the modern era, Eats History explores what people actually ate throughout time, documenting the most universal feature spanning the entire length of humanity: food.
